Over the last few months, Burningham & Brown has participated in several charity events to raise money for different worthy causes.
For the fourth year running, the Firm took part in the RUH Make a Wills month in September 2018 where the fee for writing a Will is waived and donated to different sections within the Royal United Hospital Bath. Burningham & Brown were delighted to raise over £3,000 for the cause as well as receiving positive Client Care feedback. Sarah Loveless one of our Partners is also running the London Marathon in 2019 to raise money for CLIC Sargent.
Our in house charity fundraising was started by Barbara Green who made our morning coffee for over 15 years. Barbara has now sadly died but all of the staff are determined to keep up her great interest in our charity donation in memory of her many years of good work.
In the autumn we had our own "Great British Bake Off" competition. Over several weeks staff made delicious cakes anonymously and everyone in the office scored the cakes out of 10 and gave a donation to the office charity. The winner of the Bake off 2018 was Deborah Stokes from our Conveyancing department. She cooked a quintessentially British Victoria Sponge which tasted delicious. Deborah stated 'I am delighted to be able to take part in the Bake off which raises money for our Charity pot as well as being creative in the kitchen."
Finally in December we had our Christmas raffle which raised another £110 for our charity pot and staff take a vote on where they would like the money raised to go.
If you would like your charity to be added into the choice of votes which our staff take yearly, please email us at email@example.com with more information
